She just seems to lack something that past bond girls had... Not sure what... Maybe a certain stoney disposition?

She is pretty and the producers saw something in her to contribute to their film. She was also picked from among likely thousands of willing aspirating actresses. I would not have to guess this person have assets beyond her physical appearances.
I regret growing up admirating Bond films from the early 1970's onward. I have not went to see the last few of the series because now the nature of those productions are offensive to me. This include how women are treated of past Bond films to present. So hopefully the actress you related about in your blog will excel beyond the material she was given in her career and life.
